A pause on a mild, sunny winter day in 2016 to remember George Michael.
He passed to the next world on Christmas Day. So many of us grew up with him and celebrated his contribution to music. What a spark he had. Of all the songs he wrote and performed with Andrew Ridgeley, it’s a cover song that came to mind upon hearing the news today. “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me,” by Sir Elton John. Here is the live recording from July 13, 1985 at Wembley Stadium London at the Live Aid Famine Relief concert for Africa. A brilliant moment in his stage career. I think you are with another contemporary of mine now: Lady Diana. A light has gone out. Blessings to the family and friends. Be at Peace.
