The writings in this blog are on a wide variety of topics. Articles focus on music, travel, gardening and curiosities. My genre is non-fiction.  The writings reflect something that was directly experienced. Some writers can imagine a whole universe of characters and places. I need to have a personal experience to write about it. All the gardening, cooking, traveling and spiritual awakenings came from these hands, heart and soul.

The photo in this opening page was taken in Taormina Sicily, in the courtyard at Casa Cuseni. The former home of Daphne Phelps. I was so brave one year, I visited this ancient land to explore and to know another world. There are several chapters on the journey. The stimulus was music. A fine lyric sparked the idea to visit places unknown.

The peddler’s cart is waiting to go. Where will the journey lead us today?
